Leave Admin/ Coordinator

 

Job Description

 

Responsibilities include and are not limited to:

  • Administer and track all leave requests including but not limited to:
    • FMLA, PFL, PLA, Workers' Compensation, Disability, and other State/ Federal paid and unpaid leaves. 
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees navigating leave and insurance processes
  • Coordinate with insurance carriers and internal departments to ensure timely and accurate processing
  • Maintain detailed records and ensure compliance with applicable laws and company policies
  • Provide risk control support related to leave management
  • Deliver a high-touch, concierge-style service to employees throughout their leave journey
  • Support and back up other HR functions as needed.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in leave administration, preferably in a multi-state environment
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state leave laws and insurance programs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Experience in HRIS systems and leave tracking tools is a plus
  • Must become the subject matter expert in:
    • Paid and unpaid leave programs
    • Fraud prevention strategies related to leave
    • State and Federal leave laws and compliance

For compliance purposes for NYS transparency, the expected salary range is $25.00 - $30.00. Compensation will be based on experience and other factors permitted by law
