HR/Safety Admin

 

We are a Large Corporate Industry Leader in Building Supplies Employing over 800 Friendly People on Long Island, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

 

For compliance purposes for NYS transparency, the expected salary range is $19.00 - $21.00. Compensation will be based on experience and other factors permitted by law

 

HR/Saftey Admin - Provide support in an HR admin role for company wide safety initiatives.

Responsibilities

HR/Safety Admin:

Job Description

Work alongside a diverse HR team to support safety initiatives including but not limited to:

  • Working with safety representatives, managers, and leaders to ensure proper safety equipment, signs, supplies, apparel, instructions, posters, and more throughout the northeast.
  • Maintain and develop electronic record keeping systems including but not limited to employee records, licenses, qualifications, renewals, training, certificates, DOT medical certifications, drug testing, and more.
  • Ensure compliance and regular communications on training, licenses, safety inspections, upcoming renewals, and documents.
  • Collaborate with management and employees on incident and investigation reports to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Coordinate safety training initiatives including scheduling outside vendors.
  • Manage databases for consistency and accuracy including safety, random D&A testing, DOT medical certificates, driver qualification files, annual MVRs, annual clearinghouse queries, incidents, etc.

Qualifications

HR/Safety Admin:

  • Must have hands on working knowledge of MS office. Specifically basic skills in outlook, word and excel. 
  • Experience with safety and compliance a plus
  • Database management experience a plus
  • Willing to train
  • 40 hours/week
  • 2-3 years Administrative support experience a plus.
